How To Text message
Hello everyone. Today I'll talk about how to send a text message from your phone. (1) First of all, you have to activate your phone to use text messaging. For activating, look for the serial number which is under the battery (2) and enter that number in the website of the phone company you are using. Also, you need to check to see if you can use that phone in your area or not. After that, enter a little bit of your personal information, choose the plan that depends on the cost per minute, and decide how you will pay for it. Then you'll get a new phone number to distinguish you. But if you have this kind of phone, you also need a little bit of programming. 1. Turn on your phone. 2. Dial ##virgin (##847446). 3. You are now in the programming menu. Select Activate phone and press. 4. Your phone will say, "Do you want to activate your phone now?" select yes. 5. Your phone will connect to the network, and then the screen will say "hi. Press start to continue the activation process." Select start and press. 6. Your phone will say, "we're getting your phone number for you", and then your phone will display your new Virgin Mobile phone number. Write it down. 7. Select finish and press the "ok" button to complete the activation process. Your phone will turn itself off and back on. This is the programming for your phone. And then, for sending a text message, you have to open your phone if it is the flip type when you're going to send it. Second, push the "contact" that is the far right upper side button and select the person who you want to send to and push the same button as "contact", its "option" here. Then you can see the words "send text msg", so push it. Or click the "menu" that the most left upper side button, select the "messaging" on the right side, push the "send text msg", push the "option", select "contacts" and select the person. I recommend the former way. After that, you'll see a typing screen on the phone screen, so let's type something you want to say in the bottom column. Then finally push "send", the button same as "menu". These processes are all of things for sending.
Survey
My topic is text messaging from a cell-phone. It is different from E-mail like it's almost from a mobile phone. And I asked 7 people who are Professors and students about text messaging. I asked this question, "Do you like to send a text message?" first. Then 75% people said YES and nobody said NO, so most of the people like to use it. And I asked how many text messages do you usually send in a day? Also how often do you check it in a day? Both of the answers were a few numbers like 1, 1-3. But I was interested in the numbers, because 25% of respondents; that is more than 2 times people checking it 3 times in a day. I think professors caused this result, because they have to check it to keep in touch with new important information. The question of "if you want to say some thing to a director, which ways are comfortable for you?" gave me interesting results. It said only 12.5% of respondents answered text messaging is good way to communicate with a Professor So it means it's not popular way in case of talking with a Professor Finally, I asked "why do you use text messaging?" Then most of people said about that like easy to send or check and convenient, but some people said it bothers me because it is too slow to send. These are the results of my survey.
