How to use Purikura
Do you know Purikura? Purikura is a picture sticker print machine. It is famous in Japan. I will talk about how to use a Purikura machine. First, go to a game arcade, and then you can find some Purikura machines. Choose the one you want to use. I recommend using the machine that is close to the front door. Almost all game arcades put the new machines there. Second, you need to put money into the machine. Almost all machines need 400 yen to play. The place you should put money into on some machines is outside of the booth and others have the slot inside the booth. Third, you choose a theme. It depends on the machine, but common themes are “Love-love” (lovely) and “Nakayoshi” (friendly). Next, you choose the brightness. There are about five choices: really tanned through really white. Then you will see many kinds of backgrounds and frames and you can choose one or two. After you choose, a countdown will begin and just take a pose or you can come closer and make funny faces. Then repeat the functioning several times. Then you can choose four to six pictures which you like. Then some machines let you move to a decoration booth while other machines don’t. Third, you can decorate the pictures by using the pen. You can add messages, stamps, more frames and backgrounds. Some machines have a time limit, so concentrate to decorate your pictures! However, some machines have a long time limit or no time limit, in this case, you can decorate them slowly. When you finish decorating, you touch the finish button using the pen. Finally, how do you print the pictures? You need to choose how many pictures on each page. There are many kinds of divisions. You can choose by the number of people. I like 24 divisions. When you have decided, touch the print button. During the waiting time, you can type your e-mail address and send it to your cell phone. When you finish it, your pictures will appear in a sticker sheet. You cut the sheet and put stickers on somewhere that you like. |

Purikura Survey
I made a survey about Purikura. There are 9 people who responded to my survey. They are seven TIUA students, one TIUA professor, and one Willamette student. 100% of the people have seen a Purikura. 88.9% of the people know how to use Purikura. 66.7% of the people took pictures about once a month with a Purikura machine when they were into Purikura. 100% of the people said when they take pictures with Purikura, they go with their friends, 33.3% of the people said they go with their boyfriend or girlfriend. 66.7% of the people said when they were elementary school students, it was their first time to use Purikura. In conclusion, Purikura is famous among the people who responded to my survey. |
